How can I, as a Christian, have the greatest impact on my community?

You must worship Christ as Lord of your life. And if you are asked about your Christian hope, always be ready to explain it. But you must do this in a gentle and respectful way. Keep your conscience clear. Then if people speak evil against you, they will be ashamed when they see what a good life you live because you belong to Christ. 1 Peter 3:15-16

God’s influence in our lives is often attractive to others. The more we reflect God’s perfect character traits, the more people will be drawn to us and want to be around us (unless they are bent on evil). Although we all make plenty of mistakes, our goal should be for our neighbors to say, “We can plainly see that the Lord is with you.” Would your neighbors say that about you?

God’s Promise

You are the light of the world. . . . Don’t hide your light under a basket! Instead, put it on a stand and let it shine for all. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father. Matthew 5:14-16
