What can I do when things seem hopeless?

God’s Response

Hannah was in deep anguish, crying bitterly as she prayed to the LORD. 1 Samuel 1:10

He took no chances but put them into the inner dungeon and clamped their feet in the stocks. Around midnight, Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God. Acts 16:24-25

Wait patiently for the LORD. Be brave and courageous. Psalm 27:14

When you lose hope, you despair. This will happen when you try to solve your problems by yourself. Hope returns when you remember that God is still in charge and that he has the power to change your life. When things seem hopeless, return to God, pray to him, praise him, and wait patiently and courageously for him to act on your behalf.

God’s Promise

Happy are those who have the God of Israel as their helper, whose hope is in the LORD their God. Psalm 146:5
