Grace

Grace

What is grace?

God’s Response

The wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23

God saved you by his special favor when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. Ephesians 2:8-9

Grace is both a onetime act (the grace of God in giving you salvation through faith in Jesus) and a way of life (allowing the grace of God to continue to do wonderful works in you). In either case, grace is simply God’s special favor. Because of his grace, God gives you many things that you don’t deserve and can’t take credit for. When you understand God’s grace, you will want to be a person of grace to those around you.

God’s Promise

All of these things are for your benefit. And as God’s grace brings more and more people to Christ, there will be great thanksgiving, and God will receive more and more glory. 2 Corinthians 4:15
