Fellowship

Fellowship

Why do I need the fellowship of other believers?

God’s Response

When he arrived and saw this proof of God’s favor, he was filled with joy, and he encouraged the believers to stay true to the Lord. Acts 11:23

Use his words to teach and counsel each other. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts. Colossians 3:16

Since we are all one body in Christ, we belong to each other, and each of us needs all the others. Romans 12:5

God created you for relationship. You cannot grow as a believer all by yourself, without other Christians around you. Fellowship with other believers is necessary to keep you accountable, to help you learn God’s Word correctly, to pray for each other’s needs, to encourage one another, and to help you mature in your faith.

God’s Promise

If we are living in the light of God’s presence, just as Christ is, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from every sin. 1 John 1:7
