Endurance
Endurance
Where do I find the strength to keep going when I’m tempted to give up?
God’s Response
Endure suffering along with me, as a good soldier of Christ Jesus. 2 Timothy 2:3
Of course, you get no credit for being patient if you are beaten for doing wrong. But if you suffer for doing right and are patient beneath the blows, God is pleased with you. 1 Peter 2:20
Jesus told him, “Anyone who puts a hand to the plow and then looks back is not fit for the Kingdom of God.” Luke 9:62
Your outlook on life determines how you see your problems. If you see them only as nuisances, you will develop an attitude of bitterness, cynicism, and hopelessness that will make you want to give up. If you see your problems as an opportunity for strengthening your character and convictions, you will be able to rise above them and persevere to see what good things God has in store for you. Endurance is a sign that your faith is growing strong.
God’s Promise
Christ, the faithful Son, was in charge of the entire household. And we are God’s household, if we keep up our courage and remain confident in our hope in Christ. Hebrews 3:6
