Confession

Confession

What happens when I confess my sin?

God’s Response

Please pardon the sins of this people because of your magnificent, unfailing love. Numbers 14:19

There is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. Romans 8:1

Everyone who believes in him will have their sins forgiven through his name. Acts 10:43

Confession is the act of recognizing our sins before God so he can forgive us. Sin separates us from a holy God; confession indicates our desire to be in a right relationship with him. When you confess your sin, you agree that something wrong needs to be made right and that a damaged relationship needs to be restored.

God’s Promise

This is my blood, which seals the covenant between God and his people. It is poured out to forgive the sins of many. Matthew 26:28
