Do I have the kinds of values that God desires?

God’s Response

A good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart, and an evil person produces evil things from the treasury of an evil heart. What you say flows from what is in your heart. Luke 6:45

The LORD has told you what is good, and this is what he requires of you: to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God. Micah 6:8

It’s easy to see what you really value by the choices you make. Just consider how you spend your money and your time, what you think about most, and what gets you jazzed. Then ask yourself how you view acts that the Bible calls sin, such as lying, ignoring wrongdoing, gossip, flattery, profanity, and cheating. If you don’t see these as sin, you must face the fact that your values differ from the Bible’s, and your choices will not be pleasing to God.

This Is Promising

Do to others whatever you would like them to do to you. This is the essence of all that is taught in the law and the prophets. Matthew 7:12
