Rebel With A Cause
Rebel with a Cause
Is rebellion ever good?
God’s Response
You have had enough in the past of the evil things that godless people enjoy—their immorality and lust, their feasting and drunkenness and wild parties, and their terrible worship of idols. Of course, your former friends are surprised when you no longer plunge into the flood of wild and destructive things they do. So they slander you. But remember that they will have to face God, who will judge everyone, both the living and the dead. 1 Peter 4:3-5
When under pressure to participate in sinful activities, you as a Christian must rebel against the crowd. Sure, you may find yourself being made fun of because you refuse to participate in certain activities. Your priorities have changed and you are now heading in the opposite direction, so you have to rebel against actions that would displease God. Be a rebel with a cause—of obedience, purity, and love for God.
This Is Promising
But if you rebel against the LORD’s commands and refuse to listen to him, then his hand will be as heavy upon you as it was upon your ancestors. 1 Samuel 12:15
