How does Jesus bring peace into my life?

God’s Response

Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me. There is more than enough room in my Father’s home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am. And you know the way to where I am going. John 14:1-4

You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you! Isaiah 26:3

So many things affect peace—chaos, conflict, interruptions, wars, busyness, worry, fear. How can we have peace from all that? On this earth, you can’t prevent many of these things from invading your life, but you can have peace—a quiet, unshakeable confidence—about the outcome. How do some people have such peace just before they are martyred for their faith in Jesus? They know where they are going. If you had ten million dollars in the bank, you wouldn’t worry about providing for your family if you lost your job. In the same way, if you have banked treasure in heaven, you don’t worry about losing your life on earth. Let that assurance keep you from panicking in today’s storms. The outcome is certain.
