Scarcity
Scarcity
What can I do in times of scarcity?
God’s Response
Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or are hungry or cold or in danger or threatened with death? . . . No . . . overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us. Romans 8:35-37
Who else rescues the weak and helpless from the strong? Who else protects the poor and needy from those who want to rob them? Psalm 35:10
I am poor and needy, but the LORD is thinking about me right now. Psalm 40:17
In times of scarcity, our greatest hope as believers is that this condition is temporary. God promises that for all eternity we will be free from trouble as we live with him in heaven. While it is difficult to accept that some people seem to get all the breaks on earth, God assures us that those who love and honor him will get all the breaks for eternity.
God’s Promise
LORD, where do I put my hope? My only hope is in you. Psalm 39:7
