Responding to Jesus

What should our response be to Jesus?

God’s Response

They entered the house and saw the child . . . and they bowed down and worshiped him. Matthew 2:11

We praise God for the wonderful kindness he has poured out on us because we belong to his dearly loved Son. Ephesians 1:6

“My Lord and my God!” Thomas exclaimed. John 20:28

The astrologers traveled thousands of miles to see the king of the Jews. When they finally found him, they responded with joy, worship, and gifts. How different from the approach we often take today! We expect God to come looking for us, explain himself, prove who he is, and give us gifts. Those who are wise still seek Jesus because they suspect that he was sent for a special purpose unlike that of any other person. Do you really know who he is? What gift can you give back to Jesus, who gave his life for you?
