Sometimes I have no idea what to do next. What should I do?

God’s Response

O our God, won’t you stop them? We are powerless. . . . We do not know what to do, but we are looking to you for help. 2 Chronicles 20:12

The Holy Spirit helps us in our distress. For we don’t even know what we should pray for, nor how we should pray. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words. And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God’s own will. Romans 8:26-27

God wants to help you make the right decisions. This is part of why he sent us the Holy Spirit—to be our voice of reason when we are lost and confused. The Bible says that even in times when we don’t know what to ask or pray for, the Holy Spirit intercedes for us. When you are overwhelmed, confused, or uncertain, calm yourself in prayer. If you don’t know what to say, the Spirit will pray on your behalf.

God’s Promise

The eyes of the LORD search the whole earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him. 2 Chronicles 16:9
