How do I set an example when I lead others?

You should follow my example, just as I follow Christ’s. 1 Corinthians 11:1

You yourself must be an example to them by doing good deeds of every kind. Titus 2:7

For even I, the Son of Man, came here not to be served but to serve others. Matthew 20:28

Sometimes, leaders are tempted to think that they are special and thus exempt from the standards that apply to everyone else. A good leader abides by the same rules as his followers and practices what he preaches. Resist the temptation to think that your authority makes you the exception. Work as hard as the rest, or harder. When your life is consistent with the standards you expect of others, you will set a good example as a leader.

God’s Challenge

He did what was pleasing in the LORD’s sight and followed the example of his ancestor David. He did not turn aside from doing what was right. 2 Kings 22:2
