Challenges

Challenges

How should challenges shape my life?

God’s Response

My ambition has always been to preach the Good News where the name of Christ has never been heard, rather than where a church has already been started by someone else. I have been following the plan spoken of in the Scriptures, where it says, “Those who have never been told about him will see, and those who have never heard of him will understand.” In fact, my visit to you has been delayed so long because I have been preaching in these places. Romans 15:20-22

Dear brothers and sisters, whenever trouble comes your way, let it be an opportunity for joy. James 1:2

Challenges keep you from being comfortable and satisfied with the status quo. They force you to follow God’s leading into uncharted waters. Facing dangers of various sorts is part of the challenge of serving God in all things. These challenges reveal God’s grace and power, develop your endurance, and teach you to better exercise the gifts God has given you. Paul’s vision to preach the gospel in new places continually drove him to new challenges and therefore to greater growth in his relationship with God.

God’s Promise

Commit everything you do to the LORD. Trust him, and he will help you. Psalm 37:5
