How can I know God’s call for my life?

Let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will know what God wants you to do. Romans 12:2

Cry out for insight and understanding. Search for them as you would for lost money or hidden treasure. Then you will understand what it means to fear the Lord, and you will gain knowledge of God. For the Lord grants wisdom! Proverbs 2:3-6

The first step in knowing your calling is to tune your ears to hear God when he calls. Just as a piano is tuned against a standard set of musical notes, so we get in tune with God as we examine our lives against the standards for living found in the Bible. As God communicates to you through the Bible, you will begin to “hear,” or discern, just what he wants of you. As your spiritual hearing is enhanced, you will become a good listener, able to hear clearly when God calls you to a certain task that he has reserved just for you. Would God say that you are a good listener?
