Think God’s Thoughts

Think God’s Thoughts

Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Romans 12:2

There are plenty of excellent business books on the market, but I won’t list them because those I find useful might not be appropriate for you and vice versa.

A book on cheese may be more relevant to me than one about fish. You might identify closely with hedgehogs while your partner goes on about purple cows.

The big question is, How well do these books stand against Paul’s admonition for us to resist imitating the world’s behaviors and customs? Should we ignore their wisdom? Is it even appropriate to weave their lessons into our routines?

The answer lies in the second part of the verse.

God wants your motives to be his motives.

He wants you to think the way he does.

List the key points of your favorite business books, and look for correlations with biblical truth.

God created purple cows, fish, and hedgehogs. And . . . he’s the one who moves your cheese.
