Don’t Get In The Way

Don’t Get in the Way

The people of Israel followed all of the LORD’s instructions to Moses. Then Moses inspected all their work. When he found it had been done just as the LORD had commanded him, he blessed them. Exodus 39:42-43

I was interviewing staff members for a client and heard more than one of them say something like, “We’d get a lot more done if we could get rid of the boss for a while.”

It still makes me chuckle. The boss thought she was providing tremendous help when the opposite was actually true. She meant well, but she was too involved.

At the end of Exodus 39, Moses came to inspect the massive Tabernacle project.

Bezalel had been completely on his own. From the time Moses gave him the plans until the final garments were stitched, Moses was nowhere near the work.

Bezalel may have provided progress reports, but Moses let his foreman do what God had gifted him to do.

Perhaps you need to evaluate your involvement in some projects. Is there a chance you have been getting in the way?
