Do Something Incredible
Do Something Incredible
The man went and spread the word, proclaiming to everyone what had happened. As a result, large crowds soon surrounded Jesus. . . . People from everywhere kept coming to him. Mark 1:45
Perhaps you’ve heard the term Viral Marketing. Wikipedia defines it as “marketing techniques that seek to exploit pre-existing social networks to produce exponential increases in brand awareness, through viral processes similar to the spread of an epidemic.”
Viral marketing spreads quickly because it is passed along by people who have been touched by a product or service in unusual ways.
The leper that Jesus healed told his friends what had happened because he couldn’t keep quiet. There wasn’t any compensation—he wasn’t a paid endorser, just a raving fan.
There are two ways to spread the message of your product or service. You can buy advertising (ads, public relations, promotions, etc.), or you can do something so incredible that people just can’t help but tell their friends, who tell their friends, who tell their friends—until “people from everywhere” come to see you.
Is your organization doing anything incredible?
