Finish What You Start - Paul And Titus

If anyone asks about Titus, say that he is my partner who works with me to help you. And the brothers with him have been sent by the churches, and they bring honor to Christ.

If you answered, “Things that require diligence to get finished,” then you’re on the right track, and perhaps well on your way to becoming a man that people can count on to finish what you start.

Diligence motivates you to complete what you begin, even when it entails personal sacrifice or hardship. It’s a character quality that a man named Titus demonstrated in just about everything he did.

Paul knew that he could count on Titus to finish what he started and to do it with enthusiasm motivated by love for his fellow believers. That is why Paul referred to Titus, whom he had sent to Corinth as a personal delegate, as “my partner who works with me to help you.”

A great bond of affection cemented Paul to Titus, a Greek convert. They built this bond on brotherhood in the faith and on trust because Paul knew that he could count on Titus to finish what he started.

The Bible repeatedly promises that those who diligently seek, obey, listen to, and serve God will never be disappointed. When you demonstrate your diligence toward him, it is sure to spill over into all areas of your life.

Do others see you as a man who can be counted on to finish what you start even if it means personal sacrifice? Dependability and diligence don’t often characterize people today, but they are crucial to your making a difference in your own home and in the world around you.
