Hearing His Voice #245

[The Lord said,] “I have appointed you as a watchman for Israel. Whenever you receive a message from me, warn people immediately.”

Ezekiel 3:17

FROM THE HEART OF GOD

“Am I calling you to be an ardent evangelist and warn sinners of their ways? I do choose some to do that, but your watchman role is bigger than that. I have called you to be sensitive to My heartbeat and express it to others. I’ve given you ears to hear My voice, and the spiritual insight to know what I’m doing so you can help others interpret the circumstances of life. I share my purposes in the world with those who listen and wait for Me to speak. I have put you in a position to know the truth behind the scenes.

“Most people in this world live in constant confusion about their circumstances and about the direction of history. They don’t know My plans for them today, and they don’t know My plans for the world. Everything appears random to them, and they play the odds the best they can. But if they had glimpses of My ways and My work, they would begin to align themselves with My plans. Their lives would begin to synchronize with My purposes.

“That’s your role as a watchman. You are an interpreter of the times, someone with your finger on the divine pulse. I have given you that responsibility and invite you to step into it. It doesn’t matter if you don’t know how; I will teach you. I will begin to sensitize your spirit to Mine and show you things you do not know. I will unveil My purposes so you can help others step into them and know where I am leading them. I will use you as a voice in the wilderness around you, a spring that waters and refreshes the weary, and a signpost that redirects the wayward. Ask to receive messages from Me, and I will give you opportunities to share them.”

Is this really possible, Lord? I don’t know many who think this way—or who really expect to hear from You concretely. If this is true, show me clearly. Show me what’s on Your heart, and I will share it.
