Son of man, let all my words sink deep into your own heart first. Listen to them carefully for yourself. Then go to your people in exile and say to them, “This is what the Sovereign LORD says!” Do this whether they listen to you or not.

FROM THE HEART OF GOD

“I have many servants who think they are expressing My will simply by passing along the information that’s in My Word. But My truth is more than information; it’s life. That’s why I tell you to let My words sink in and listen carefully for your own benefit. There are enough hypocrites in My Kingdom who are trying to implement My words in the lives of others before implementing them in their own. But this produces death, not life. My desire is for you to embody My truth and then just be who you are.

“You have no idea how much pleasure it gives Me when you savor My words not because you think you have to, but simply because they are Mine—because you want to understand Me, My thoughts and feelings, My work and My ways. This world is full of people who want My Word because of what’s in it for them. There are very few who want to savor it and consume My Word in order to become one with Me. I am inviting you to be one of those few. You will be surprised at how close I draw to you and how strong I show Myself to be on your behalf. I want you to do it because you love Me, but I also want you to experience the benefits of My love. I want to bless you, and this is how I can.

“When you do this, you will share My desires and see them fulfilled in your life. You will embody My truth and impart it to others. You will become more than a servant. You’ll be a friend.”

Lord, I want that. Whatever benefits and blessings there might be, I want to become one with You, not only in principle but also in experience. I want to embody who You are—in Spirit and in Word.
