Hearing His Voice #126

Hearing His Voice #126

The people will declare, “The LORD is the source of all my righteousness and strength.” And all who were angry with him will come to him and be ashamed.

Isaiah 45:24

FROM THE HEART OF GOD

“I know when you’ve been angry with Me, even when you are afraid to admit it. I understand that your perceptions are limited and that your circumstances seem to speak louder than I do at times. But you have to understand that no matter what distorted lenses you’re looking through, I am always good. I have your best interests in mind, even when you think I’m against you.

“You have help in achieving your distorted perceptions. There’s a liar who slanders Me every chance he gets. He spreads lies in your mind and among all the people in the world. Whenever you hear people arguing against My existence or accusing Me of being either unloving or impotent because of all the suffering in the world, you can know they have been influenced by the father of lies, whose mudslinging never ceases. They may have seen part of the picture, but have drawn overarching conclusions, never realizing how skewed their reasoning is. Your challenge in this world is to look past those lies and trust in what is true. Your first parents failed at this, and the darkness ever since has only made things harder. But cling to My goodness, no matter what you see or what arguments you hear.

“Remember, I value your trust much more than I value your understanding. Your understanding can never grasp the mysteries of My ways, but your trust can. You will one day declare with joy and certainty that I am the source of your righteousness and strength. So cling in the darkness now to what you will one day see in the light.”

Lord, I confess there have been times when I’ve been very angry with You. I haven’t understood what You were doing—why things You promised were taking so long, or why adversity struck when I was trusting You for good. Thank You for welcoming honesty, but please forgive me for speaking in ignorance. I trust You as my only source of righteousness and strength.
