Don’t Have It All Together?

This is the day the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24

I received some quotations that were said to have been taken from federal employee performance evaluations. Have you ever felt that some of these could be said of you?

• Her women would follow her anywhere, but only out of morbid curiosity.
• Since my last report, she has reached rock bottom and has started to dig.
• When she opens her mouth, it seems that this is only to change whichever foot was previously in there.
• This young lady has delusions of adequacy.
• This employee should go far, and the sooner she starts, the better.
• She’s not the sharpest knife in the drawer.
• She’s about as bright as Alaska in December.
• One-celled organisms outscore her in IQ tests.
• She has two brains; one is lost, and the other is out looking for it.
• She’s so dense, light bends around her.
• If you gave her a penny for her thoughts, you’d get change.
• It takes her an hour and a half to watch 60 Minutes.
• She has a full six-pack but lacks the plastic thingy to hold it all together. (My personal favorite!)

God knows that we don’t always have it all together, yet he still has chosen to work with us! So maybe you weren’t perfect yesterday, and you won’t be today, but give your day to God, and somehow he’ll add himself to the mix.
