Find The Right Course
Find The Right Course
Read Proverbs 2
You will understand what is right, just, and fair, and you will find the right way to go. For wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will fill you with joy.
Proverbs 2:9-10
Good teachers and trainers know that their role in their students’ lives is temporary. The student pilot will eventually fly solo. The intern will someday make independent diagnoses. The trainee truck driver will be alone one day behind the wheel of a big rig. All will have to make decisions and perform tasks alone, but only after they have learned and internalized all they have been taught.
God is the ultimate teacher and wants us to so learn and internalize his lessons that we “will find the right way to go.” Just as a well-taught pilot does not panic when things go wrong but can instead call upon ingrained knowledge and skills, so we can be confident that, when the time comes, we can know what is right, just, and fair. How can we have this assurance? We can open our minds and hearts to God’s wisdom, shown in his Word. With such knowledge comes a bonus: joy.
A WORD FOR TODAY
Training in wisdom is life preparation.
Today, Lord, teach me more of what is right, just, and fair in your sight. Thank you for the joy that comes with your wisdom and knowledge.
