Pondering God’s Amazing Deeds

Pondering God’s Amazing Deeds

Praise the LORD!

I will thank the LORD with all my heart

as I meet with his godly people.

How amazing are the deeds of the LORD!

All who delight in him should ponder them.

Everything he does reveals his glory and majesty.

His righteousness never fails.

He causes us to remember his wonderful works.

How gracious and merciful is our LORD!

He gives food to those who fear him;

he always remembers his covenant.

Psalm 111:1-5

Our minds naturally go back again and again to the things we don’t understand; we ponder them and try to make sense of them. The psalmist encourages believers to reflect on the amazing deeds of their God. We should express our thanks to God publicly as well as privately, letting other believers be encouraged by our reports of God’s goodness to us. “He causes us to remember his wonderful works,” the psalmist proclaims. God feeds us; he never forgets his covenant with us; he demonstrates his love and power to us by giving us all kinds of gifts. “How amazing are the deeds of the LORD!”

Add your own testimony to this chronicle of God’s faithfulness in both your private prayers and before the people in your church.

  • Dear Lord, how amazing are your deeds! I remember your wonderful works. . . .
