Exalting The God Of Creation

Exalting the God of Creation

The heavens proclaim the glory of God.

The skies display his craftsmanship.

Day after day they continue to speak;

night after night they make him known.

They speak without a sound or word;

their voice is never heard.

Yet their message has gone throughout the earth,

and their words to all the world.

God has made a home in the heavens for the sun.

It bursts forth like a radiant bridegroom after his wedding.

Psalm 19:1-5

For David, the moon and the sun, the stars and the planets were all reminders of what a remarkable craftsman God was. He had created those starry heights and had set them into motion. Unlike his pagan neighbors, David didn’t worship the sun, moon, and stars. No, he perceived these heavenly objects as worshipping their Creator by doing what they were made to do. If only our ears could hear creation’s praises to God!

Take some time to ponder the intricate details in the world around you. Join your voice with the “voices” of the heavens in praise of your Creator.
