What’s in Your Purse?

FATHER GOD, you have empowered me with the freedom to choose. Remind me to

turn off my phone;

lay down the burdens of my friends and family;

occasionally say no to obligations so that I don’t overextend myself;

occasionally say no to my children in order to preserve family time;

occasionally say no to social engagements that can become taxing;

occasionally interrupt my routine in order to have fun.

Father God, my handbag gets so heavy with obligations. Thank you for the freedom you have given me to make choices. Speak to my heart and mind that I might limit my obligations to live each hour of each day with uncommon joy. Amen.
