FATHER GOD, I thank you for what you have taught me through these men and women who use words in such a wise way. Help me to

guard against hypocrisy and make sure that what I do is not in conflict with what I say;

unbind myself from my recurring sins;

live at peace with all your children;

use positive plans and direction to empower me, rather than dwelling on negativity;

align my passions with your needs and desires;

remember that all I have, in material goods and spiritual talents, is given and sustained by you.

Holy Father, I praise you for those whom you have gifted with words. Thank you for the wisdom, clarity, and guidance they provide me. I pray that you will walk with me as I focus on your will and the truths that you long for me to live by. Let me be a light in your world. In the name of your Son, Christ Jesus. Amen.
