Crushed Without A Scratch
Crushed Without A Scratch
He will order his angels to protect you wherever you go. They will hold you up with their hands so you won’t even hurt your foot on a stone. Psalm 91:11-12
“The only thing I remember,” Susan said, “was seeing everything go by in slow motion. I heard the tires screeching, and I smelled smoke. Pretty soon, there was so much smoke that I couldn’t breathe. The stench of diesel fuel and burning rubber filled my nostrils.”
The pictures of the car that Susan showed me on her phone were astounding. The entire front end of the car was demolished. Very little of the vehicle was even recognizable. The roof was gone, as well as both front tires.
“A semi jackknifed in front of us, and the only place to go was underneath it. I should have been killed or at least mangled as much as the car. I still don’t understand why there isn’t a scratch on me. I thought that little red car was going to be my coffin.”
“Good thing you were the only one in the car,” I said.
“But I wasn’t. The whole family was headed to a revival when this happened. My husband and two children were also in the car. Satan wanted to destroy what we were doing.”
“How in the world did four occupants survive that crash?” I said. The entire car was crushed and compressed—there didn’t seem to be any room in there for four people to survive, let alone not be hurt.
“God intervened in a mighty way,” Susan said. “He not only spared my life, but my family’s lives as well.”
I was shocked and amazed. It was nothing short of a miracle that Susan and her family were able to continue their journey after the detour they took under the carriage of that semitrailer. God was definitely with them that day. It was obvious that only he and his angels could have protected them in such a catastrophic situation.
