Love Joyfully Hopes
LOVE JOYFULLY HOPES
Begin by quieting your body and mind, remembering you are in God’s loving presence. Open your hands to reflect with your body your desire for a heart that’s open to whatever he has for you today. Spend a minute in silence.
Love calls us to be joyful in hope, not skittish and worried or letting the ups and downs of our lives and the world dictate the states of our souls and hearts. When the world tells us that we should despair, that hate is winning, and that self-protection is our only remedy, love says, “The Kingdom of God has come. Love has prevailed. All things are being redeemed and restored. Be joyful in hope!”
- What relationships come to mind when you reflect on the refrain “The Kingdom of God has come. Love has prevailed. All things are being redeemed and restored. Be joyful in hope!”? Why? Ask God to help you understand what he might be inviting you to see or do.
- How might remembering God’s redemption and restoration through Jesus Christ cultivate trust in your relationships?
- What most frequently keeps you from resting in joyful hope?
Father, you are love. Jesus, you are love. Holy Spirit, you are love.
Shape me into the image of love, and lead me in the way of love. Amen.
