When Things Go Wrong - Prayers for Every Occasion

DEAR LORD, things haven’t gone as I planned today, and I’m frustrated. I’m overwhelmed by all the things I need to do, ill-prepared for the many challenges coming my way.

Please settle my heart, calm my spirit, and remind me how you have directed me in the past. Give me proper perspective, and cut my problems down to their real size. Have these details escaped your notice? Have you been busy helping someone else and forgotten me? Of course not!

You are the sovereign God who made heaven and earth. You breathed your very life into your children. You chose your special people and instructed them in your ways. And you sent your one and only Son to be our Redeemer and Savior.

I hand you my problems and concerns, Father. Your arm is strong to save, and I can trust you to accomplish what is good and glorifies you. Thank you for your faithfulness to me and to all generations. Amen.
