Philippians 4:4,6-7

Philippians 4:4,6-7

I say it again—rejoice! . . . Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds.

Worry lives in the future, fretting over something that might never happen. Rejoicing over what is good in your life will keep you in the present. When you “pray about everything,” start by praising God for what is good in your life. Then go ahead and tell him about your concerns. Whenever worry invades your mind, use it as a reminder to pray in the present. This is the way to guard your heart and mind from spiraling into anxiety. It helps you experience God’s peace immediately. What specific worry can you transform into prayer today?
