John 11:25-26

I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying. Everyone who lives in me and believes in me will never ever die. Do you believe this, Martha?

Mary and Martha were grieving the death of their brother, Lazarus. When Jesus came to see them after Lazarus had been in the tomb for four days, he comforted Martha with this hopeful message: Those who choose to trust Jesus will forever live in God’s love and presence—even after death. Jesus continually reminds us to keep this eternal perspective while we live on this earth. Perhaps you, too, are in deep grief and need to hear Jesus speak these words over you. Cling to this promise from him. Hold tightly to the hope of salvation. Jesus will supply your peace, joy, courage, and security in times of sorrow.
