Galatians 5:22-23

The Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

How do you know if you are growing in your faith and “producing fruit”? Go through the list of fruits in these verses and ask yourself if these character traits are ripening in your life. Are you growing in your love for God and others, especially those whom you dislike? Are you making progress in developing patience with people who annoy you? Are your words more kind today than yesterday? Have you done better at telling the whole truth? Take a moment and think about which of these fruits still need to grow. Ask the Holy Spirit for awareness in this area to help you become more like Christ.
