Ephesians 5:15-17

Be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise. Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days. Don’t act thoughtlessly, but understand what the Lord wants you to do.

Every day is filled with choices to do things that matter or things that don’t. With so many distractions and temptations, it’s a challenge to live wisely, making the most of every opportunity that comes our way. When we carve out time to commune with God, prayerfully read his Word, and listen to his voice, his direction becomes more clear. We develop spiritual vision, which helps us see what is most important and what we should let go of. The more we allow God’s Word and Spirit to fill our thoughts, the less thoughtless our actions will be. How can you be intentional about spending time with God today?
