2 Chronicles 16:9

The eyes of the LORD search the whole earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him.

Though Hanani, a prophet, spoke this verse to King Asa of Judah thousands of years ago, it remains relevant today. Hanani had just rebuked Asa for seeking help from a foreign king instead of from God. Hanani reminded Asa that the Lord is always watching and assessing people’s hearts (their motives) with the intent of strengthening those committed to him. Even when it seems like God doesn’t see you, trust that he knows every heart and will strengthen those devoted to following him. Let this encourage you to press on in faithfulness today.
