Let the whole earth sing to the LORD! Each day proclaim the good news that he saves. Publish his glorious deeds among the nations. Tell everyone about the amazing things he does. Great is the LORD! He is most worthy of praise!

David presented this song of praise after the Ark of the Covenant had finally been transported safely to Jerusalem. This was a major event in the history of the Israelites that was cause for celebration, for the Ark of the Covenant not only carried the tablets with the Ten Commandments but also served as an important symbol of God’s presence.
