The prayer life doesn’t consist of the perpetual repetition of petitions. The prayer life consists of a life that is always upward and onward and Godward.

Pray About It: There is a fine line between persistence in prayer and repetition of prayers. If our burden is of God, we’ll find it fresh every day. But if we are constantly repeating the same words for the same request, day after day, how can our heart be in it?
Our prayers must be vital, fresh, and living. They must be always “upward and onward and Godward.” Like dominoes falling with continuing forward momentum.
Today, only pray for that which God prompts you to seek. Leave the dry lifeless prayers by the wayside.
Prayer must be aflame. Its passion must consume. Prayer without fervor is like the sun without light or heat or like flower without fragrance or beauty.
