Magnificent Prayer #146

Great peace have they who love your law, and nothing can make them stumble.

Psalm 119:165

Let the life of prayer flow into the busiest hours of your busiest days. It will be a defense against temptations. It will give you power in Christian service. It will hallow all our influence. It will give you peace in the midst of dangers, help in weakness, light in darkness, comfort in sorrows, companionship in loneliness, and friendship for your hungry heart.

If we know how to get help in prayer, we need never fail at any point in life, for then God’s might is back of us as the ocean is back of the bay.

J. R. MILLER

Pray About It: Failure in the life of a praying Christian is an oxymoron. When God is consulted, obeyed, and followed, the end of the matter can never be failure, no matter what the natural eye sees. Busyness requires all the more prayer, for busyness requires power. Busyness without prayer is a ticket for sure defeat—no matter what the natural eye sees.

God promises to meet all your needs today. And as you pray, He expects you to exercise faith in all He wants to do today.

God’s children should pray. They should cry day and night to Him. God hears every one of your cries in the busy hour of the daytime and in the lonely watches of the night.
