Watch Them Grow!

When looking at a tiny seed, it is impossible to see what will grow from such a minute speck of nothing—the color of its blooms, the type of fruit, the size of the plant. There is vast potential locked within, and under the right circumstances—if it is planted in good soil, is watered regularly, and gets plenty of sunshine—a miracle will happen. The seed transforms into something more than itself.

God calls us to sow broadly, generously, diligently into the lives of our children.

We are asked to believe in the potential we sow, the latent miracles inside small life-seeds.

Our task is to be faithful to sow, by faith, the seeds of promise given to us; His is to do the miracle, to take all the seeds of faithfulness, love, and service and grow them into such a bounty of beauty. One day we will finally see that He was creating the miracle in our children; the seeds will sprout into a harvest of righteousness and redemption that will be beyond what we could have imagined.

So, dear God, let us look at the flowers You have planted and see beyond them to the beautiful harvest of our lives and the lives of our children, and help us believe in the potential of the seeds we are planting right now, which by faith will become a harvest of righteousness beyond measure.

His Promises

I pray that your love will overflow more and more, and that you will keep on growing in knowledge and understanding.

Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.

For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.
