At Your Service

At Your Service

One of our greatest responsibilities is to walk through the days of our lives seeking to love our King and promote His Kingdom. One of the primary ways we do this is in teaching our children and modeling for them what it means to be a devoted servant of the King. We show them what it means to enter into the battle, to be willing to serve and give of ourselves. We are the ones who paint them a picture of the great battle, the great King, and their parts in fighting for redemption.

God has designed all of us with the purpose of being a part of His redemptive Kingdom work. Our children’s hearts long to be a part of a great cause. Mothers can cultivate compassion for a lost world in the hearts of their children and show them how they can practically be a part of God’s Kingdom work.

In the secular world, everyone’s attention is turned on who is the most famous or powerful or has the biggest salary. By the world’s standards, the call is not to service in the fight for redemption; it is to self-protection and self-fulfillment.

But from God’s point of view, history is the account of human souls joining into the battle for the righteous Kingdom. Each of us is given a unique opportunity to live out a story in which we employ the moments, money, talents, and relationships of our lives to promote the priorities that are on the heart of the King, the Lord Jesus.

His Promises

And I have been a constant example of how you can help those in need by working hard. You should remember the words of the Lord Jesus: “It is more blessed to give than to receive.”

Acts 20:35

For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.

Matthew 20:28

For you have been called to live in freedom, my brothers and sisters. But don’t use your freedom to satisfy your sinful nature. Instead, use your freedom to serve one another in love.

Galatians 5:13
