Leap Of Faith

At times when life feels a bit bleak—when we have suffered the loss of a family member, when our jobs seem to be in danger or are already gone with no prospects on the immediate horizon, or when our children are making bad and dangerous choices—we need to be encouraging one another with the promise of the Resurrection.

The more bits of information we have about how our own resurrection will occur and how and when Christ will return, the more assured we are of it happening. That’s how our minds work—seeing tends to enhance believing. The more information and historical or scientific facts we have at our disposal to substantiate what the Bible says, the more likely we are to take that leap of faith into the waiting arms of God.

Countless books have been published on the subject, but at the end of the day, believing in the promise of the resurrection and eternity still requires faith. The good news is, faith is all you really need.

His Promises

No eye has seen, no ear has heard,

and no mind has imagined

what God has prepared

for those who love him.

If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved.

I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying.
