Strength Beyond Imagination

Strength Beyond Imagination

Lord, what is an example of how you use someone with weak faith to do something great?

Then I turned to Gideon and said, “Go with the strength you have, and rescue Israel from the Midianites. I am sending you!” “But Lord,” Gideon replied, “how can I rescue Israel? My clan is the weakest in the whole tribe of Manasseh, and I am the least in my entire family!” I said to him, “I will be with you. And you will destroy the Midianites as if you were fighting against one man.”

Judges 6:14-16

What can your power do through me?

In my strength you can crush an army; with me, you can scale any wall. I am the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth. I never grow weak or weary. No one can measure the depths of my understanding. I give power to the weak and strength to the powerless.

2 Samuel 22:30; Isaiah 40:28-29

What can I pray to help activate my faith in you?

I have been chosen to know you, believe in you, and understand that you alone are God. There is no other God—there never has been, and there never will be. You, yes you, are the LORD, and there is no other Savior. All glory to you, God, who is able, through your mighty power at work within me, to accomplish infinitely more than I might ask or think.

Isaiah 43:10-11; Ephesians 3:20

When you put your trust in God, you don’t need to have the strongest faith in order for him to use you. Sometimes all you can offer is your weakest yes. Even then, fear can keep you from moving forward in confident faith. Do you feel like God is calling you to do something? What fears or concerns might be holding you back? How can faith in God help you move forward?
