The Solution To Sin

Lord, why was sin allowed to enter the world?

In the beginning I created the heavens and the earth. Then I looked over all I had made, and I saw that it was very good! When Adam sinned, sin entered the world. Adam’s sin brought death, so death spread to everyone, for everyone sinned. Yes, Adam’s one sin brings condemnation for everyone, but Christ’s one act of righteousness brings a right relationship with me and new life for everyone.

How can I combat sin and evil?

Put on all of my armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. For you are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world. You have already won a victory, because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world. For every child of mine defeats this evil world through faith.

What can I pray over my home to declare God’s glory and authority here?

All glory to you, God, who are able to keep me from falling away, and who will bring me with great joy into your glorious presence without a single fault. All glory to you, who alone are God, my Savior, through Jesus Christ my Lord. All glory, majesty, power, and authority are yours—beyond all time!
