Seeking God

We shouldn’t seek answers as much as we should seek God. . . . If you seek answers you won’t find them, but if you seek God, the answers will find you.

Stay calm as you await the answers to your questions. Your prayers have been desperate as you’ve poured out your desires before Me. You’ve been telling Me how you want your prayers to be answered, and you are unwilling to wait as My will unfolds in a different time frame than the one you want. You are telling Me what needs to happen—implying that your plan is better than Mine.

That’s not how seeking My will works. When you earnestly seek Me, you set your mind and heart on Me, not on what I can do for you. Don’t let your pride stand in the way. Humble yourself. My promise to you is that you will find Me if you seek Me. “Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him” (Hebrews 11:6). The answers to your questions and your prayers will come when you seek Me first.

Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.
