When we rest, we trust that God holds everything together.

When you are exhausted, look to Me. When your burdens are too heavy to carry, give them to Me. When your responsibilities are daunting and you feel like giving up, lean on Me. I will give you rest. I know you are weary and the accumulated duties in your life feel too overwhelming to handle. But you are carrying burdens I never intended for you to manage.

Come to Me, and I will restore to you the joy of your salvation (Psalm 51:12). Recognize who I am and worship Me with an undistracted heart. Learn to live under the shelter I provide, and you will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. Read Psalm 91 and write out the verses that speak to you of My safe places. Spend time talking to Me about your concerns, anxieties, and desires. I want to let you “rest in green meadows” and lead you “beside peaceful streams” (Psalm 23:2). Uninterrupted time in My presence will renew your mind and heart.

Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.”
