I want you to see things from My point of view. This is difficult for you because right now your vision is clouded by the sin and pain in this world. I can see the end from the beginning—so I already know you will be just fine in the end, but that’s hard for you to envision. You develop perspective when you grow in spiritual wisdom and discernment; you begin to understand why I have allowed certain things to happen.

Try looking at life from My vantage point and it will help you resist temptation. You’ll realize the short-term enjoyment that sin offers is not worth the long-term consequences of wrongdoing. Perspective also helps you to endure hardship. My Son, Jesus, looked past the pain of the Cross to the joy that was set before Him. Follow His example when your load seems unbearable. Now your vision is limited, but one day it will all become clear—when you are with Me in heaven and understand what I have known all along. Stay close to Me and allow a maturing perspective to reveal how wide, how deep, and how high My love for you is (Ephesians 3:18).

“My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the LORD. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.”
