Patience

Patience

Patience is the ability to idle your motor when you feel like stripping your gears.

Barbara Johnson

I want you to develop patience. This is not easy, and it doesn’t feel natural. You long for answers to questions, resolutions in relationship difficulties, fewer hardships, and peace and serenity in day-to-day living. Your personal attempt to fix things has failed again, and you’re discouraged. When you feel under pressure, remember that you are chosen and loved. I’ve provided the fruit of the Spirit to help you. “The Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control” (Galatians 5:22-23).

You’re trying so hard to figure everything out. Stop long enough to take a breath and ask Me to clothe you with perseverance and staying power. As time unfolds, you’ll see that I am responding to your needs in a very different way than you were expecting. Wait with hope and know that it brings Me joy to meet your needs in My perfect timing.

We also pray that you will be strengthened with all his glorious power so you will have all the endurance and patience you need. May you be filled with joy.
