Overflowing

I’m just thankful for everything, all the blessings in my life, trying to stay that way. I think that’s the best way to start your day and finish your day. It keeps everything in perspective.

What are you thankful for today? What blessings have surprised you, cheered you, and made your heart overflow with gratefulness? Consider these things. I will continue to provide your daily bread. I have given you the greatest Gift of all—my Son, Jesus Christ, who died on the cross and rose from the grave so you can know Him personally and spend eternity with Him in heaven. In the middle of trials and even persecution, I will not leave you. I am here every day to provide My power and presence in your life. “I am with you always, even to the end of the age” (Matthew 28:20).

Sit quietly in My presence and allow Me to fill your heart and mind with thankfulness. As you go through this day, look for specific ways I’m blessing you. When you discover these unexpected treasures, collect them—one by one—until you have a beautiful bouquet. When nightfall comes, lay them at My feet. Your display of overflowing thanksgiving brings Me pleasure, and in My presence you will find abiding joy.

You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies. You honor me by anointing my head with oil. My cup overflows with blessings.
