My Portion

Whatever your situation, ask God to be your daily portion of companionship, provision, and patience—over and over.

You live in a world that is increasingly filled with trouble and brutality. Beware of discouragement when your circumstances are difficult. I will provide everything you need. Give your entire attention to what I’m doing, and keep your eyes on your inheritance. Even now, you can trust Me to give you God-sized answers to your prayers. Your health may fail and your spirit may grow weak, but I will be the strength of your heart and your portion forever (Psalm 73:26).

Whatever happens in this world, your relationship with Me can transcend your trials, your tragedies, and your problems. Be careful not to seek My blessing before you seek My presence. Asaph said, “Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire besides you” (Psalm 73:25, NIV). Say aloud, “God Himself is my Portion. He is my Inheritance. I don’t need anything else. I will be patient and wait for Him.”

I say to myself, “The LORD is my portion; therefore I will wait for him.”
